Tilted Hills Farm is a budding little farm in Nikolaevsk run by Monica Kopp and Ben Tippenhauer. Monica is an ecologist and transfers her knowledge and passion for natural systems to nurturing the soil and working with nature to grow healthy plants. Ben uses his inventive mind to build and improve infrastructure on the farm. He has built his own sawmill, dug his own well, and is constantly dreaming up new ideas the next efficient tool.

In 2021, we are in the start-up phase of our farm, and are offering limited quantities of short-season crops like mixed salad greens, lettuce, radishes, carrots, beets, turnips, rutabegas, and more.

We use all natural soil amendments like compost, Kodiak fish bone meal, langbienite, and blood meal. We try to work with natural cycles to control pests and do not use pesticides or other synthetic chemicals in our gardens. We are a small-scale farm with a 25 HP tractor and hope to scale up to offer larger quantities of vegetables to our community in the near future.
