We are Donna Rae Faulkner and Don “Iceman” McNamara who own and operate Oceanside Farms (formerly in the neighborhood behind Beluga Lake Lodge and now) about 5 miles out East End Road! We invite you to come visit our roadside farm stand! We were SPIn Farming in the old neighborhood, but now have a total of ten high tunnels as well as outdoor growing space. We are a small scale sustainable market farm. We raise a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, berries, and some charming chickens and ducks! We raise meat chickens that you can pre-order. We grow all our produce and our Alaska Certified Seed Potatoes (9 varieties) without the use of synthetically based chemicals, pesticides, fungicides, or fertilizers. We use (arguably better than) organic practices and Korean Natural Farming Techniques and facilitate workshops for farmers (now certified to teach KNF.)

We grow all our produce and our Alaska Certified Seed Potatoes (9 varieties) using organic methods - without the use of synthetically based chemicals, pesticides, fungicides, or fertilizers. We use (arguably better than) organic practices and Korean Natural Farming Techniques. Don is a master composter (including using a farm-made Johnson-Sue Bioreactor) for biologically rich compost and incorporates biochar into our process. Our veggies are grown using the same philosophy and methods as contained in the Certified Organic Program. Note that some varieties are not from organic seed, but we use organic seeds when possible. Never GMO's or treated seed. Watch out for our friendly ladybugs that help control our pests! We are proud to add to the healthy, fresh, delicious food available in Homer.
