A pre-statehood homestead, Lancashire Farm is located just outside of Soldotna off the Spur Highway. Named after Rusty and Larry Lancashire, the farm is now being revived by daughter Martha Merry, granddaughter Amy Seitz and Jane Conway. We currently have about 35 sheep that we raise for 4-H, meat for the table and for fiber, layer chickens for eggs, Freedom Ranger meat chickens, ducks, honeybees, many rows of raspberries and gardens that produce delicious vegetables. We also sell hay from our hayfield. We're excited to continue producing veggie's in Martha's geodesic dome high tunnel! We can also be found at the farmers' market in Soldotna on Saturday's spinning wool, and selling available products - so come by and say hi when you are out and about this summer! Thanks for supporting Alaska/Local grown prouducts :)
Blood, sweat and tears! No seriously, while not certified organic, we do follow organic practices; all systems are in a symbiotic relationship with each other - chicken and sheep manures for the compost, chickens and ducks used to clear forage for garden space and improve health of the pasture.
